1st human rights film festival in Senegal AfricanBamba Human Rights Film Festival in Thiaroye showcases human rights and social issues documentaries to raise awareness and inspire change. AfricanBamba Human Rights Film Festival uses films and the arts as a mean to address urgent social issues: primary goal is to engage youth and the community towards positive social change and empowerment by raising awareness on human rights.

AfricanBamba Human Rights Film & Arts Festival in Thiaroye, Senegal is planning its 4° edition with 2 appointments: one special event in Dakar on the 10th December 2015, marking the international Human Rights Day, followed by a 4 days event in Thiaroye, from 3 to 6 March 2016, at the Centre Culturel Jacques Chirac and other venues in Thiaroye, as Cinema du Quartier. The Festival will host film screenings, debates to raise awareness on human rights issues, free health consultations and prevention programmes, as well as performances, sport events and music. The main focus of AfricanBamba is on women and children human rights issues.

FILM SUBMISSION AT AFRICANBAMBA FESTIVAL

AfricanBamba welcome submission of films dedicated to human rights issues.

Films will be considered for selection for the festival film programme. AfricanBamba holds a wide perspective on human rights which includes civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights.

We screen short, medium and long feature films, documentary and fiction, also experimental.

No entry fees are due for submitting films, videos or new media projects.

Deadline for submission of film is 30 November 2015.
